I myself don’t think I’ll be returning. The new 2022 card is valid for three years. I felt staff didn’t really care about customer service and that’s big for me when I stay somewhere. All in all the experience was just what I said in the point paragraph. We had friends that went here as well with similar complaints. Food itself was bland and turkey “tastes like it came from a can” according to the wife. I heard a lot of complaints about food shortages. I did my second trip and they had potatoes and rolls but everything else was even lower. When we get to the buffet they were out of potatoes, gravy, low on turkey, salad bar was low on items, no dinner rolls and dressing weren’t marked. We went for the Christmas buffet and had to stand in a massive line (no big deal, it’s Christmas). The upstairs restaurant on the other hand is a different story. I was told I had to ask for extra toppings and they charge for the toppings Was told it was 20 cents for mayo but never seen it on the bill. Although when I asked what came up my Chicken burger they said it just came with the chicken burger and bun. The restaurant downstairs is very affordable and tasted great. The arcade was great, a little on the small side but has modern games. Upon reading reviews I seen this is a common thing at this hotel. I was told at the front desk that’s why the slides were closed as well because life guards never showed up for work either. wasn’t to upset though as 2 out of the 4 days the person responsible for collecting the admission for the pool “didn’t show up for work” so admission was free. Out of the 4 days we stayed 2 out of the 3 big slides were closed. The pool was nice but when we made the reservation we asked if everything in the pool was going to be open (2 slides go outside the building and back in, We weren’t sure if they would be open in cold weather) and they said everything would be open. Complaints went unheard by staff as they did nothing about it. we had problems with the room above us and people running around until about 1am the last 2 nights. The room was cheap as we got the good neighbour pricing as we are from Canada and paid the $39 a night. We stayed here over Christmas holidays and have had one of those “you get what you pay for” experiences. Overall, we would stay there again if we were in the area. I didn't go to the casino, but my husband told me that every time he went he had to give his name, address, phone number, etc and get his temp taken before he could go in. Everyone we saw had masks (hotel staff and guests), the hotel staff was cleaning and sanitizing the communal areas often. Lots of crushed beer cans and cigarette butts out by the smoking area. An unopened tampon was lying in the grass between our room and the neighbor's room. The area outside of the room was not kept clean. We couldn't hear anyone in the halls or the rooms around us or even outside in the parking lot. The room was well worth the price even without being able to use the waterpark. Once we figured it out it worked out fine. The wall heating/ac unit was extremely loud and we weren't able to set a temperature but had to choose low heat, high heat, etc. The room was clean and smelled really nice. Instead of a window we had sliding glass doors that opened to the parking lot. There was no remote for the TV so we had to go get one at the front desk. We chose to get a room with a fireplace and two queen beds. Our room was on the 1st floor (which was actually a floor below the hotel entrance so a bit confusing). When we checked in, the desk clerk was somewhat surly but warmed up as we chatted. ![]()
